Marijke Verbeeck, born in Leuven in 1982, starts playing the flute when she is 9 years old, at the Music Academy of Wetteren.
In 2000 she begins her study at the Royal Conservatory in Antwerp, receiving lessons from Aldo BAERTEN, first flautist of the Royal Flemish Philharmonic “deFilharmonie”.
In the same year she wins the second prize at the Axion Classics competition.
From 2003 to 2005 Jorge CARYEVSCHI in Zwolle (Netherlands) is her flute teacher.
In 2004 she wins the second prize at the Benelux Flute Competition in Tilburg.
Driven by her passion to play music and to share it, she provides artistic training in various fields of musical education.
In 2009, now a mother of three children, she moves from Flanders to the Ardennes.
Since 2010 she teaches music education at the Institutes of Sainte Julie and Saint Laurent in Marche-en-Famenne.
